I’m organized, I’d say, but the order tends to emanate from the places I’m productive. Things I don’t use often suffer a centrifugal force that leaves them in a state of semi-permanent neglect. The farther you go from, say, my hobby desk, the less likely you are to find what you’re looking for, because it is less likely to be somewhere I actually meant to put it. But…!
Sometimes I get a happy surprise out of it! Today I discovered a cache of old drawings I hadn’t seen in a long time. These were done in 2017 and must have ended up under the box where I found them following my move to a new hobby space.
These are all done in micron pens. Needless to say I was feeling pretty free with colors!
This one is my favorite, I think. It’s from another of my mom’s photographs. I was trying to achieve a hard edge on the cap of the mushroom without actually drawing lines to achieve that.
This one is almost cartoonish it’s so stylized. It think I’m a better drawer now. It’s still fun to see these older efforts, though. Hopefully I’ll look back in a few more years and see similar improvement.
These little drawings are for sale. If you are interested in purchasing one of them or another of my pieces, contact me for details.
